Marquelle Dent Named MWC Player of the Week
For the first time this season, a Wyoming women’s basketball player has earned Mountain West Player of the Week honors. Sophomore Marquelle Dent was given the award for games played from Feb. 3-Feb. 9. It’s the first weekly honor for Dent in her career.
Cowgirls Slip Past Lobos, 79-75
Marquelle Dent scored a career-high 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists to lead the Wyoming Cowgirls to a hard-fought 79-75 win over the New Mexico Lobos Wednesday night at the Arena-Auditorium.
Cowboys Fall Short in Fresno, 67-62
They came close, but the Wyoming Cowboys remain win-less in the city of Fresno. The Pokes lost at Fresno State 67-62 Wednesday night at the Save Mart Center. The loss snapped a four-game win streak for UW.
Wyoming Cowgirls Run Past Fresno State, 87-76
Kaitlyn Mileto scored 21 points and Kayla Woodward added 20 points, as the Wyoming Cowgirls downed the Fresno State Bulldogs 87-76 Wednesday night at the Arena-Auditorium. The Cowgirls stayed perfect in Mountain West play at home.
