Luca Technologies has laid off nine Gillette based workers and has temporarily shut down its coal-bed methane wells in the Powder River Basin. Doug Randall has the details. The Wyoming Community College Commission met last week in Casper to discuss ways to meet Governor Matt Mead's directive to all state agencies to come up with budgets reflecting a possible eight percent cut. Golden, Colorado based Luca Technologies expects to receive approval from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality to begin a methane farming project in the state. Doug Randall reports. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department big game hunter harvest surveys continue to be distributed as hunting seasons wind down.
