LCCC, MPO Launch Seat Belt Campaign
Laramie County Community College and the City of Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Office will launch a joint campaign Monday to encourage LCCC students to buckle up, according to Sreyoshi Chakraborty of the MPO. She says the month-long campaign will feature, among other things, a presentation from a crash survivor on his experiences and a machine which simulates the effects of a car crash.
Children’s Discovery Center Offers Academic Pre-school
The manager of the Children's Discovery Center wants parents to know about the academic pre-school at Laramie County Community College and it's advantages for children. Carrie Westling says the center offers courses for children age 6 months to 6 years, as well as an after school and summer school for school age children. Westling says the center is accredited with the highest accreditation a pre-school can receive in the United States, one of only 700 pre-schools to receive that recognition.
