Richfield Oil Buys Well/Mineral Lease [AUDIO]

The U.S. Environmental Protection Industry has again extended the public comment period for it's study of groundwater pollution in a central Wyoming gas field. Amy Richards reports. EPA Releases Fracking Update [AUDIO]

FMC Corporation and local emergency management in Sweetwater County developed a plan to deal with subsidence from trona mining. Doug Randall reports. The Environmental Protection Agency released a progress report Friday on its research into potential impacts of natural gas hydraulic fracturing and drilling on drinking water. Casper College Gets Water Grant [AUDIO]

Casper College has received almost $100,000 in a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to continue training programs for safe drinking water over the next three years. Amy Richards reports. Anadarko Petroleum wants to nearly double the size of it's operations in the Patrick Draw Field east of Rock Springs.

Federal Judge Dismisses Bear Mauling Lawsuit [AUDIO]

A federal judge has dismissed a wrongful death suit that claimed negligence by federal researchers led to the fatal mauling of a man in Wyoming's Shoshone National Forest. Doug Randall reports. A Wyoming landowners group and others want the environmental protection agency to require oil and gas extractors to disclose the chemicals emitted from oil and gas production each year. Sinclair Refinery Agrees to EPA Fine

Sinclair Refinery in Sinclair, Wyoming has agreed to pay a $378,000 penalty, update process equipment operating procedures, perform required training to workers, improve maintenance of equipment and perform integrity tests on pressure vessels and piping that will reduce the possibility of an accidental release of hazardous chemicals at the refinery.

More Analysis Needed on U.S.G.S. Pavillion Water Report [AUDIO]

Both sides of the debate over whether hydraulic fracturing has contaminated groundwater near Pavillion, Wyoming say they need more time to analyze the results of testing done by the U.S. Geological Survey. Doug Randall has the details.  An infectious disease specialist at Campbell County Memorial hospital says one of three people treated there for Group A Streptococcal infections has died. Sinclair Oil Fined by the EPA [AUDIO]

Mead to EPA State Should Have Primacy in Regulating Haze

Governor Matt Mead told the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that Wyoming should have primacy in regulating regional haze. In a letter commenting on the EPA's disapproval of part of Wyoming's State Implementation Plan (SIP),  Governor Mead said that the federal plan would be more costly and without any apparent benefit over the state plan.
