Road and Alley Projects Scheduled for This Week

City of Cheyenne Street and Alley workers will work on three street projects this week, weather permitting.

On Tuesday, September 17, workers will asphalt overlay Windwood Drive between Holmes Street and Frontier Street. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

City Reaches Agreement On Hollywood Video Property

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says the city has reached an agreement to acquire the part of the former Hollywood Video property it needs for the Pershing/ Converse/19th Street roundabout project.

Kaysen says terms of the agreement call for the city to pay $ 400, 000 for the property as well as swap city owned property directly north of the Hollywood Video site

Officials with the City of Cheyenne Department of Urban Forestry say now is the best time to spray for Mountain Pine Beetles as well as Spruce Beetles and other tree-killing bugs.

Winter Storm Halts City Projects

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says the latest in a series of severe spring snowstorms which hit Cheyenne this week has set back work on a variety of city projects.
