Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak is urging the Cheyenne City Council to reconsider it's recent decision not to purchase the former Dinneen's Car Dealership.

The Chief says a construction engineer has told him the appraiser hired by the city didn't attach enough value to the building on the property, leading to an artificially low estimate of the true value

The Cheyenne City Council Finance Committee on Monday signed off on an offer of $1.986 million to purchase the former Dineen Car Dealership for a Public Safety Building to house the Cheyenne Police Department, Cheyenne Fire and Rescue Department and other emergency responders
