If the proposal wins final council approval, the city's Unified Development Code will be changed to reflect the loosened restrictions.

The mayor says at one point both underground tunnels and bridges were considered as a way to improve pedestrian access, but those options would have been too costly

Despite those delays Kaysen says he is still hopeful both projects can be wrapped up by the end of November.

Work on the project has been continuing through the summer, and the mayor says the project is now about 60 percent complete

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says he supports a proposed annexation of about 900 acres of the Swan Ranch Industrial Park, despite concerns that it will cost the city more money than it will bring in. The city council earlier this week postponed the annexation proposal until August 26th so that council members can review a revised development agreement before voting on the issue...

Revenues from building permits were a big factor in the increase in money flowing into the city, with a final figure of $1.9 million according to the mayor. That compare with projections of only $428, 000.

Kaysen says the report's recommendations will be formally proposed to the council at it's August 26th meeting

Kaysen says Frontier Days events have been drawing big crowds, and that's translating into a lot of traffic for local retailers.
