Caribou-Targhee National Forest

Among the shuttered areas is a Bridger-Teton closure area that stretches north of the Cache Creek drainage into the Gros Ventre Wilderness.

The U.S. Forest Service has recommended against merging management of the Bridger Teton National Forest in Wyoming with the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Idaho. Doug Randall has the story. Many Wyoming officials say they are concerned about the prospect of combining management of the Bridger-Teton National Forest in northwestern Wyoming with the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in southeastern Idaho.
