Envronmental Group Challenges BLM on Adobe Town Leases [AUDIO]

The Biodiversity Conservation Alliance filed an appeal before the interior board of land appeals  challenging the Bureau of Land Management's decision to sell two leases in Adobe Town and five leases in the Kinney rim area, totaling 12,424 acres. A program to bolster dental care in Wyoming and one satellite medical clinic could be in jeopardy under proposed budget cuts at the University of Wyoming. Doug Randall has the details. Oil Company Backs Away From Adobe Town Drilling [AUDIO]

Conservation Groups Protest Adobe Town Drilling [AUDIO]

Plans for exploratory wells in Adobe Town are being protested by four conservation groups. Deborah Smith with the Wyoming News Service has the details. Governor Matt Mead Issues First Executive Order [Audio]

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management will hold off on issuing six oil and gas drilling leases near the Adobe Town badlands of  southwest Wyoming. Doug Randall reports that the agency will study the area's wilderness characteristics. Governor Matt Mead signed his first executive order Wednesday to clear 197 executive orders issued by former governors.
