CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill is seeking more than $6 million for her newly reorganized office over the next 17 months.

Gov. Matt Mead has recommended just over $2 million.

The Legislature is working on the budget this week.

Last week, Hill was stripped of her main administrative duties overseeing the state Department of Education by a new state law. The agency will be run by a director appointed by the governor.
