Summertime, summertime, sum sum summertime is right around the corner. Have you decided what programs you'll get your kids involved with and keep your sanity?  Today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight some of the great summer events for your kids this year. After looking through quite a few of them, and what they cost, I'd like to recommend five of them to you.

  1. Outdoor Adventure Program - This one is for your teenagers and tweenagers. They get to experience the outdoor life, and God knows they need to get outdoors more. The event runs once a week in June, July and August and includes: kayaking, camping, hiking and much more.
  2. Fit Kids' Camp - If you want to get your kids fit while enjoying nutritious food, look no farther than this. This includes rock climbing, geo-catching and zumba, while making healthy, nutritious snacks by the kids.
  3. Summer of Discovery - If your kids love field trips, music, outdoor activities and reading, then this might tickle their fancy. The classes take place at LCCC and include X-ray classrooms too.
  4. Cowboy & Cowgirl Camp - Gold panning, boots, hats and a whole lot of western learning. Your kids will love this program during June, 2015. The kids will meet at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum.
  5. Critter Camp - If your kiddo's dig animals and want to learn more about them and how to take care of them, this this week will work great for them. This group meets at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

I hope this has helped you see what might be a good fit for your kids this summer. As you can tell, there is plenty for them to get involved with, without breaking the bank.
