A study by an Oregon company finds Cheyenne Frontier Days contributes around $25 million a year to the Laramie County economy.

Dean Runyan Associates says that total includes $10.6 million in retail purchases, with another $6.5 million spent on entertainment and recreation and $4.8 million spent in local bars and restaurants.The study found that people who visit for CFD tended to have relatively high household incomes, with about a third report incomes of $100, 000 a year or more.

Frontier Days General Chair Darin Westby says he was "pleasantly surprised" by the report, although he adds he would love to see it be"200 million because our volunteers put their heart and soul into it". The recent study was the first of Cheyenne Frontier Days economic impact since 1997.
