So just how 'average' is our hometown? According to a new Wallet Hub study, Cheyenne is one of the most All American small towns in the country.

The study, 2015's Metro Areas that Most and Least Resemble the U.S., compared 381 cities across the country to the national averages for a variety of factors, including age, gender, income, education and housing.

Of the 381 cities that were surveyed, Cheyenne finished 134th on the list. Cheyenne was ranked the 25th most average town out of the 166 small towns in the study. When compared to the median 'Sociodemographic' statistics such as age, gender and ethnicity, Cheyenne was 138th. Compared to national housing stats and property values, Cheyenne finished 73rd. The Capital City was ranked the 44th closest town to the national average for education statistics. The only key area where Cheyenne isn't normal is the economy, which was ranked 377th of the 381 cities in the study (NOTE: that doesn't mean we have one of the worst economies, that means our economy isn't average compared to other cities).

Cheyenne is also one of the most 'average' towns in the region, trailing the Denver area, which was ranked 67th, Pueblo, CO, which came in 81st and Grand Junction, CO, which finished 92nd overall. Cheyenne is considered more average than cities such as Rapid City, SD, which was ranked 148th overall, Greeley, CO, which finished in 160th place. We're also considerably more normal than Casper, which came in 248th, Fort Collins, which finished in 315th place and Boulder, which was ranked 373rd out of the 381 cities that were surveyed.

According to the study, Indianapolis is the most normal city in America, followed by Cincinnati, OH, Charleston, SC, Nashville, TN and Jacksonsville, FL. McAllen, TX, was the 'least average' city. The Villages, FL, Brownsville, TX, Lake Havasu, AZ, and Aimes, IA, round out the five least normal cities in America. Check out the full list here.
