CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust has completed a conservation easement project in Fremont County.

The trust says the easement covers 3 square miles of deeded agricultural land on the Woolery Ranch.

The ranch is located south of Lander and the easement area borders another conserved property as well as public land. The property is home to crucial moose habitat as well as sage grouse habitat, and is adjacent to crucial habitat for elk and mule deer.

The trust says it completed the transaction with funding assistance from the USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust.

Financial details were not released.
