Laramie County School District#1 Superintendent Mark Stock says the district wants input on what curriculum should be used to meet the common core educational standards adopted by the state.

He says school board members decided after a public meeting held last month that while the state decides on the adoption of educational standards such as common core, it's up to the individual school districts to decided how to meet those standards, including what textbooks should be used. He says a list of textbooks and other curriculum-related information is available on the district website.

Stock says anyone who wants to challenge a textbook or make other curriculum-related comments is welcome to do so.
