There has been a lot of news lately about an outbreak of what's called an enterovirus type D-68.

It looks like a cold at first. but epidemiologist Dr. Mark Dowell of Casper says, for a small number of sufferers, it can get much worse.

It can range from a bad cold to viral meningitis.

And there are suddenly a rash of cases throughout the midwest, including hundreds in Colorado.

But contrary to some reports, Kim Deti of the State Department of Health says, there are none confirmed yet in Wyoming.

Any final confirmation of a case must come from the Centers for Disease Control laboratory.

And so far, no cases from Wyoming have been tested positive there.

She did add though, they expect there will be cases here in the near future.
