CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Two Utah siblings who pleaded guilty in 2013 to bilking investors in nonexistent wind farms continue to try to overturn their convictions.

A federal appeals court in Denver last week dismissed the latest challenge filed by Lauren Elizabeth Scott of Morgan, Utah. She's serving a prison sentence of nearly five years after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.

The same appeals court on Monday rejected the latest appeal from Robert Arthur Reed, Scott's brother. He has filed repeated appeals of his 12-year federal prison sentence.

Prosecutors maintain that investors nationwide lost more than $4.4 million after investing in what they were told were wind farm projects in Wyoming and South Dakota.
