The Laramie County Sheriff's Department is joining the Cheyenne Police Department in taking back unused prescription and over the counter drugs on Saturday.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Gerry Luce says the agency will be at three locations between 10:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. They include the Town and Country Pharmacy at 514 South Greeley Highway, Laramie County Fire District#2 at 5800 North College and the Pine Bluffs Town Hall at 200 Main Street.

Residents can also drop off their unused drugs at the Cheyenne Police Department main office on Capitol Avenue, where a drop box will be set up in the lobby. The local events are in conjunction with National Prescription Drug Take Back day, which is designed  to get unused prescription drugs out of reach of children and of people who may abuse the drugs.
