The National Weather Service will host Severe Weather Spotter Training on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. The training will provide basic severe weather spotting concepts.

The National Weather Service will discuss thunderstorms, hail, tornado development, and severe weather safety. Participants will learn to identify wall clouds, shelf clouds, downbursts, and what it means when those are present.

The spotter training is free and open to the public. It will be held at Laramie County Community College, Center for Conference & Institutes (CCI) Room 130. Classes are typically 90 minutes to two hours long.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
