After about an hour and 45 minutes of testimony, a bill that would allow people to carry concealed guns in Wyoming K-12 schools and on college campuses died in the Senate Education committee. No one on the Senate Education Committee made a motion Friday to recommend House Bill 105 and so the bill does not advance further.The bill would have lifted the current prohibition on carrying guns on school grounds for teachers, parents and guardians who have state-issued concealed carry permits. The bills Sponsor Representative Allen Jaggi (HD-19) said he's disappointed with the decision.

 Yeah I'm not done with it, I will continue to stick up for the 2nd amendment....

Joel Defebaugh, President of the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming, said the student government did not support the bill.

 we believe the university should have the right to regulate concealed carry on campus...

A bill that would deregulate direct producer to consumer sales of food in Wyoming was killed in the Senate Agriculture Committee.The bill's sponsor,Representative Sue Wallis(HD-52),said she's extremely disappointed the bill died.

 it's huge on the economic scale if we can start flowing those dollars in our local communities...

Wallis said she will bring the bill back again.

A bill that would give the state of Wyoming primacy over the regulation of greenhouse gases within state borders passed second reading in the Senate.According to Senate Minerals, Business and Economic Development Committee chairman Senator John Hines (SD-23) there is a concern about federal regulations in Wyoming.
