Wyoming's Senior US Senator is making his way around the cowboy state to listen to the people.

Senator Mike Enzi was in Casper Monday morning, February 18th hosting a listening session, to hear the ideas and solutions that Wyoming residents have for solving America’s problems.

The tour started back on Saturday, February 16th, and so far the Senator says he's heard just about everything from sequestration to the budget, taxes, and gun issues.

He says Congress is taking way too much time on some issues, because some members are over-publisizing it.

"Congress was designed to legislate, not to make deals, and that's what we've been doing. creating a crisis, so there would be a lot of publicity, picking 2, 4, 8, 10, 12 people to make a decision on behalf of everybody, bringing it up to the deadline so that there's more publicity on it, and then telling us what has to be done, up or down...and that's not legislating. that's not the way the system was designed."

Senator Enzi is scheduled to be in Cheyenne on Tuesday February 19th, Powell and Thermopolis on Wednesday, Riverton and Rock Springs on Thurday, and then he'll wrap up his tour on Friday in Pinedale and in Jackson.
