U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), during a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee meeting Monday, said the Senate needs to take action on liquefied natural gas exports.
Senator Barrasso also called on the Senate to allow a vote on his amendment to the Ukraine aid bill that would expedite liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to Ukraine and members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Barrasso also urged Committee members to vote against the nomination of Rhea Suh, an opponent of natural gas, to be Assistant Secretary of the Department of the Interior. The Committee is scheduled to vote on Ms. Suh’s nomination this Thursday.
