Saturday is Free Comic Cook Day worldwide and in Cheyenne.  Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May each year - when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores.

Locally, the Laramie County Library and "Heroes Only Comic and Games" at 3151 Nationway will be giving away free comic books while supplies last.  P.J. Brown owner of "Heroes Only" says he has a wide selection of comic books including The Avengers. He says they will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. The free comic books will be on a first come first served basis.

Brown says Carey Junior High Art teacher and published comic book artist and writer Chad Blakely, as well as other artists, will be on hand to do sketches. For more information you can go to www.heroesonly.net.
