There aren't any hard numbers available yet, but Visit Cheyenne President Darren Rudloff says he thinks Cheyenne Frontier Days 2014 was very well attended.

Rudloff says people he has spoken with thought this year's crowds were very close to 2013's record levels. He notes the Tim McGraw Concert on Saturday drew over 23,000 people, and crowds for the final weekend of rodeo action appeared to be at or near full capacity.

Rudloff also says the local economy was helped by the fact that Cheyenne has added twp new hotels since CFD 2013, allowing more visitors to stay in Cheyenne, and presumably spend their money locally as well.

Rudloff says from what he's seen and heard, he thinks Cheyenne Frontier Days 2014 will go down as at least one of the top ten CFDs in terms of attendance, and possibly even the top five.
