The professionals responsible for Wildland Fire Management in the Rocky Mountain region are in Cheyenne this week for their spring meeting.  Ron Graham, Wyoming Division of State Forestry Wildland Fire Manager, said among the topics discussed at the meeting is the fire activity forecast. This year they are expecting an average fire season for the region, which includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.

Jay Esperance, Incident Commander for Team C in Rapid City, South Dakota said the meeting gives the teams a chance "to dust off the rust" from the Winter and go over standard operating procedures for both the people who have been in the business a long time as well as newcomers.
