A Rock Springs couple is in custody facing felony-grade drug charges, according to Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dick Blust.

On Tuesday, detectives of the Sheriff’s Office , county deputies, and Rock Springs police officers went to an M Street home looking for 40-year-old Roy Rasmusson, who was wanted on an active arrest warrant.

Rasmusson and 48 year old Barbara Knox were found at the home and Rasmusson was arrested for possession or marijuana and methamphetamine. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and more marijuana and methamphetamine was found. Drug paraphernalia  was also found, and Knox was also arrested.

Rasmusson is charged with possession of marijuana (3rd or subsequent offense), possession of methamphetamine (3rd or subsequent offense), and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Knox faces charges of possession of marijuana (3rd or subsequent offense) and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell said his agency’s investigation is continuing.
