Cheyenne Police are looking for a pair of suspects in the attempted armed robbery of a local convenience store/smoke shop on Friday.

Officer Dan Long says a man entered Pablo's Smoke Shop at 416 Central Avenue at 6:30 am Friday. Long says the man was brandishing a handgun and  demanded money while a woman stood by the entrance to the store. But Long says " they hit the panic button" and the suspects fled the store without any money. No one was injured in the incident.

Long describes the man as being about 5'2, inches tall wearing a black leather jacket, black hoodie and a blue bandana. The woman is described as being 5'4 inches tall, wearing a dark colored jacket and a blue bandana.

The suspects were last seen driving south on Central Avenue in a dark colored mid 1990's Buick Lesabre. Long is asking anyone with information on this crime to call the Police Department at 637-6510 or anonymously through Silent Witness at 638-TIPS.
