Repair Bill For I-90 Bridge In Gillette To Be Costly
A Wyoming transportation official says it will take a year to fully repair an Interstate 90 bridge over Wyoming State Highway 59 in Gillette after a semitrailer struck it.
The cost of the damage to the bridge is estimated to be more than $1 million.
Authorities say the damage happened Wednesday morning when a semitrailer carrying an oversize load exceeding the clearance limit for the underpass hit it.
No one was hurt.
Wyoming Department of Transportation supervisor Max Morbeto says traffic on eastbound I-90 on the bridge, has been diverted to only the left passing lane and the speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour.
Morbeto says it will be a year before the bridge is repaired.
