A report has come out that a concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the concert that brought almost every hippy out of the wood work and put musicians on the map.

One of the original Woodstock co-creators, Michael Lang, has stated that possible partners are getting together to see if they can pull it off.

For those of you who don't remember, the young Lang, along with some others, pulled off a huge concert in 1969 on the property of Max Yasgur's farm. Groups that were exposed and came away from the event, shinning, were: The Grateful Dead, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, to name a few.

Other groups that came out of the historical event also included: Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Who.

The last attempt to revive the event took place in 1994 in Saugerties, New York and again in 1999 in Rome, New York.

The Poughkeepsie Report hasn't reported a date, as of yet, but I'm sure they will continue to keep us posted as details unfold.
