The remains of a Laramie man missing since June 2017 have been found and identified by local law enforcement.

The remains of Travis Bybee, 38, were found by two men searching for antler sheds north of Laramie along the Laramie River on April 25, according to the Laramie Police Department.

The LPD says that all indications point to an accidental death and investigators have no reason to suspect foul play.

LPD Lt. Gwen Smith said the death is not currently under investigation unless new information is brought to light, as the detective followed up on all tips and leads and was given no reason to suspect anything other than an accidental death.

An extensive search was launched for Bybee after he was reported missing. He was last seen June 3, 2017 near the 1100 block of North McCue Street, by the Timbers Apartments in Laramie.
