Secretary of State Max Maxfield announced that Monday, October 22, is the last day to register to vote ahead of the November 6 election. Maxfield says “voter registration closes 14 days before the General Election so that county clerks have time to prepare pollbooks for the 301 polling places throughout the state.”

In order to register, a person must be a U.S. citizen, resident of Wyoming, and at least 18 years of age by election day.  Persons convicted of a felony must have had their civil or voting rights restored.  Maxfield urged those who are eligible to vote but who have not yet registered to do so by contacting their county clerk’s office. Maxfield says those who are unable to register by the October 22 deadline have one more chance to register--at their polling place on Election Day, November 6.
