ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Questar Gas is requesting a decrease of $2.5 million in its Wyoming natural gas rates.

According to the Rock Springs Rocket-Miner (http://tinyurl.com/ogkh5yr ), if the request is approved by the Wyoming Public Service Commission, the annual bill for the typical residential customer will decrease by about $53 beginning June 1.

Questar Gas president Craig Wagstaff says abundant natural gas supplies continue to reduce the price the company pays for natural gas.

The request includes the company's regular gas-cost-adjustment filing to cover costs of buying natural gas for its customers. These costs are passed on to customers with no markup and have no impact on the utility's profits.
