Seeking a sixth straight win, the Wyoming Cowboys are back on the road Saturday in Las Vegas to face the UNLV Rebels in Mountain West action.

Wyoming (7-2, 5-0) is off to its best start since 1998. They are receiving votes in both national polls and are one of 12 teams nationally that has an undefeated record in conference play.

Next up are the UNLV Rebels (3-6, 2-3). They’re coming off a bye on the schedule, so the Rebels have had an extra week to prep for the Cowboys. That makes the task more difficult, but UW knew UNLV had a good football team even before the week off.

University of Wyoming head football coach Craig Bohl says, “It’s the next challenge up. “

Bohl also knows what’s at stake for his squad, as the leader of the Mountain Division. Their focus continues to be the old cliché of one game at a time.

The Cowboys have won three straight in the series, as these teams meet for the 23rd time. There’s only one common opponent for these two teams. Both have played Colorado State. UW beat the Rams 38-17, while UNLV lost to them 42-23.

Kick-off is at 1:30 p.m., Mountain Time. The game is available on ROOT SPORTS.
