WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama plans today to meet with his Cabinet, civil rights leaders and law enforcement officials to discuss the situation in Ferguson, Missouri.

Last week, sometimes violent protests erupted after a grand jury decided not to indict a white police officer in the shooting death of a black 18-year-old.

Obama also plans to meet with young civil rights leaders to discuss the mistrust between many communities of color and law enforcement.
