The Wyoming State Legislature seems to hold some cards in their hands that have the interest of the president of Laramie County Community College.  This concern came up in a board meeting earlier this month as the Board of Trustees discussed the upcoming legislative session in January 2015.

Dr. Joe Schaffer's number one concern was to take a look at reconciling the colleges funding model. He would like the college to be able to eliminate enrollment growth funding as a budget exception request and replace that with a fixed appropriation for two biennium (a specified period of two years).

They would also like the state to match any funds that were given to the college by a private donor. This means that the college would seek matching funds by the state of Wyoming for any private donor that gave to the LCCC Foundation.

Laramie County Community College would also like to continue strengthening their relationship with the University of Wyoming.
