Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Sgt. Rob Dafoe says the on-going investigation into the shooting of a 17 year old boy near Frontier Park early July 23 is leading investigators to look towards the Denver area for leads.

The shooting left the victim hospitalized , and police said at the time the shooting appeared to be gang-related. Dafoe says the investigation since that time seems to confirm gang involvement. Dafoe says detectives are working hard on the case, and hope to make an arrest or arrests sometime in the next few weeks.
