Cheyenne Police Officers have made one arrest in a vandalism that occurred at 4 a.m. Tusday at a building currently under construction in the 1500 block of Dorothy Lane.

The future three floor retirement home was vandalized to such an extent that the initial estimates put the damage over $50,000. Police responded to the building after receiving a report of a noise disturbance. Shortly after arriving on scene, police apprehended 20 year old Corey Shellhaas, of Cheyenne, who was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Facility on a Destruction of Property charge. Cheyenne Police Detectives have identified two other suspects who are believed to be involved in the vandalism.

Destruction of Property over $1000 is a felony and is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
