The Wyoming Department of Education Growth and Achievement Report indicates that the PODER Academy in Cheyenne, Wyoming is the top school in academic proficiency and academic growth.

The PODER Academy had students in grades K-4th for the 2013/2014 school year.  The 3rd grade class at the PODER Academy tested at 91% proficiency/advanced for math, and 83% proficient/advanced for reading.  The 4th grade class tested at 90+% proficient/advanced for math, 72% proficient/advanced in reading, and 72% proficient/advanced in science.

In a school that has one of the highest levels of free/reduced lunch (approximately 75%), PODER Academy truly feels that they are closing the achievement gap.
