There's nothing scarier that some random man or woman, trying to pick up a child, unsolicited. Here are some of the details that the chief does know about the attempt.  On Monday, July 6 at the I-80 overpass construction and the Beach Street area, on the east side of Pine Bluffs, and unidentified man stopped to ask an 11 year old girl if she needed a ride.

The man was reported as driving a white van, with faded blue and pink pinstripes and may have had a rectangular sticker on it. The male has been described as a man in his mid to early 60's, with brown or dark blonde hair. He was also described as having a "pockmarked" face.

Thankfully, a flagger at the construction site, upon seeing the unsolicited invitation, approached the van and asked the man if he knew the girl. The flagger than contacted Police Chief Justin Trout and gave information about the incident and the man.

If you or someone you know have any information concerning the man or the van, please call Chief Trout at 307-637-6524.
