Officials with the Wyoming Department of Transportation [WYDOT] say a bridge replacement project in the Pine Bluffs area may be finished almost a year ahead of schedule.

Project Engineer Craig Cox said the project on three eastbound bridges was originally expected to wrap up in August of 2018. But it looks now like SEMA Construction Inc. may have it finished by the end of October.

The project is the second phase to reconstruct three bridges at a cost of $8 million. It also includes a mill and overlay of two miles of road and the construction of retaining walls.

The reconstruction of the three westbound bridges in that same section of Interstate 80 was completed in 2015-2016.
