The Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days train was involved in a pedestrian fatality on Saturday night in Adams County near Henderson. One unidentified person was struck and killed by the train as it returned from it's annual excursion from Denver, CO to Cheyenne, WY for Cheyenne Frontier Days.

hit a pedestrian around 7:45 pm at the intersection of 124th Street and Highway 85. Passengers were removed from the train by bus and taken to the Denver Coliseum as emergency respondents arrived on the scene. This all according to the official release from Union Pacific.

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Train is a historic locomotive that makes an annual trip from Denver to Cheyenne to enjoy a day at the festivities. This year marks it's 27th year since it's revival, with its history going back as far as 1908.
