The PACE--or Program for the All-inclusive Care for the Elderly--will hold an open house on Sunday at their new facility at the Cheyenne Regional Health Plaza at 800 East 20th Street, Suite 200.  That's according to Laurie Wright, the Clinical Director for Wyoming Pace. She says the program is designed for people who are at least 55, meet criteria for admission to a nursing home and live in Laramie County. She says the program offers an alternative to long term-care for people who have health issues. Although there are currently 91 pace programs in 30 states, the Cheyenne Pace is the first of it's kind in Wyoming. The local pace program is a service of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, according to Wright. Sunday's open house is planned for 2-4 pm.
