Operation Back to School Underway

Operation Back to School, an effort to collect school supplies for low-income students in Laramie County School District 1, is underway for the upcoming school year.

School District 1 spokeswoman Cindy Reynders says people wanting to donate can drop off supplies at several locations around the area, including Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power, the Laramie County School District 1 Administration Building, Needs Inc. and the Cheyenne Walmart.

She says there are also several donation bins at F.E. Warren Air Force Base as well as Laramie County Community College. She also says people can donate money by check at Needs, Inc. at 900 Central Avenue. Reynders says the supplies collected will be distributed August 22-24 at the Needs office.
