25 year old Mason W. Fisher of Gillette, Wyoming was traveling west on US Highway 51 near Campbell City at about 2:15 am Monday morning. A witness said that Fisher appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed with estimations given of 75 mph to 80 mph in the 55 mph zone. Once Mr. Fisher passed the witness, he overcorrected the pickup he was driving to get back into his lane of travel. That caused it to leave the roadway to the right. The truck went into a broadside skid before it tripped and rolled two and a half times before coming to rest on its roof. The truck slid on its roof several feet before it came to a stop. Fisher was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol use and speed are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash that resulted in Wyoming's 92nd highway fatality of 2014.
