On This Day In Wyoming History: A Sheridan Girl Meets A ‘Prince’
This is a timely account in Wyoming's history, as it was 30 years ago today that a lucky girl from Sheridan, Wyoming was the 10,000th caller for a MTV contest and it was priceless.
On this day, June 21, 1986, Lisa Barber from Sheridan, Wyoming ended up winning a spot at the premier of "Under the Cherry Moon' and a date with pop artist 'Prince.'
Who would have thunk that a girl from Wyoming would have won a national contest, but she did. The then 20 year old lady was concerned about what to wear before meeting the pop artist, but Prince took care of it all.
