Have you ever watched any of the Bing Crosby and Bob Hope 'Road...' movies?

The Retro Road Trip Film Series continues at the Laramie County Library on Tuesday, January 20, showing the Crosby, Hope classic 'Road to Rio' for free.'Road to Rio' will be shown in the Willow Room of the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Avenue, starting at 6:30 p.m. until about 9 p.m. free of charge.

The 1947 movie was the fifth of the 'Road...' films to feature Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. It co-stars Dorothy Lamour and the Andrews Sisters. It's about two inept vaudevillians who stow away on an ocean liner headed to Brazil and they foil a hypnotist's plan to marry off her niece to a greedy fortune hunter.

The plot spoofs some of the popular pictures at the time and includes several running gags such as: Dorothy Lamour looking into the camera asking 'Hey fellas, I haven't had a line in ages' and Bob Hope breaking the fourth wall telling the audience, 'Crosby's going to sing, now's the time to go out and get the popcorn.'

Bring back some great movie memories or begin some new ones for free at the Laramie County Library this week.
