New Wyoming Governor Keeps Several Administrators in Jobs

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming's new governor is keeping several top state administrators in their jobs as he continues to make hires.

Republican Gov. Mark Gordon announced Thursday that Jim Ruby will direct the Wyoming Office of Administrative Hearings, which oversees certain disputes involving state agencies.

Previous Gov. Matt Mead appointed the agency's last director, Peter Froelicher, as a state district judge in December. Ruby previously directed the Wyoming Environmental Quality Council, a state environmental review board.

Gordon will retain Del McOmie as director of the Wyoming State Construction Department, Darin Westby as director of the Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources and Erin Campbell as state geologist.

Gordon also is keeping on Michael Reed as state fire marshal, Diane Lozano as state public defender and Tom Glause as state insurance commissioner.
