National Public Gardens Day is Friday May 11th, 2012. Shane Smith, Director of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens says it's a national day of awareness about the important role public gardens play in their communities.

Smith says the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens will be giving out a free pack of hardy pumpkin seeds. The seeds will be available from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Conservatory and 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Paul Smith Children's Village, while supplies last.
