A name has been released in an investigation that led to the closure of some Laramie schools on Friday.  Laramie Police arrested 34-year-old Julia Lynn Scott on for conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance.

According to an official press release, the Laramie P.D. discovered precursors to manufacturing methamphetamine at a residence in the 1500 block of N. 9th on Friday.  Just before 2:00 that afternoon, officers were investigating a credit fraud when they discovered the makings of a lab at the suspect's home.  The Division of Criminal Investigation was called to assist in the investigation.  Scott was later arrested.

During the course of the investigation, the other resident was determined to be missing and possibly armed.  As a precaution certain schools in Laramie were advised to lock down.  The suspect was seen by police in his vehicle and escaped on foot leaving the weapon behind.  Schools were then released from lockdown and dismissed normally.

The investigation is continuing but police say that through current information gained, it does not appear that there is a current threat to the community.
