The Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service and the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) are warning travelers about high winds on Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins.

The weather service says winds of between 50 and 60 miles per hour are in the forecast through today for that portion of I-80. WYDOT, meanwhile, has issued an ''Extreme Blow Over Risk' warning for I-80 between Laramie and Walcott Junction.

That stretch of interstate has been closed to light, high profile vehicles.
